Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo on the Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay, the producer and director of drama in St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. The father of Silk, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother while at work, and also attending play rehearsals. Silk appeared in several commercials while she was young. She earned a Bachelors in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved from Toronto in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met at an actor'sworkshop located in Los Angeles. The couple was engaged in 2009 before getting married in the civil ceremony on took place in December. In Fredericton on April 10th 2011they renewed their vows after her change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second baby boy was born in May of 2016. Silk's TV work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The Canadian drama Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk became pregnant during final production of the season 3 finale and announced this to the viewers during Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for the Fourth season. The CNN Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved television Couples. E! named the couple as the top TV Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk has an enormous social media following, including Facebook and Twitter because of its success.
