Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for initiating the contemporary research into the study of eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in lawful circumstances. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many prizes and grants. She has advised a variety of authorities and government agencies around the globe on policies as well as research related to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
